UN NGO Pacific Rim Institute for Development and Education Invites You to Attend the Delegate Session of the UN's 66th Commission on the Status of Women

The 66th Delegate Session of the Commission on the Status of Women will be held at UN Headquarters in New York from March 14 to 25, 2022. The Pacific Rim Institute for Development and Education has been invited for 30 consecutive years to organize delegates to attend, and this year we have once again successfully applied to host a side event at the 66th Commission on the Status of Women delegate session. We sincerely invite you to take part.

The Commission on the Status of Women is one of the nine functional commissions of the UN Economic and Social Council, established in June 1946. It had 15 members at its founding, expanding to 32 in 1967. The Commission on the Status of Women is an important global intergovernmental body dedicated to promoting gender equality and the empowerment of women, and it plays a vital role in advancing women's rights, documenting the realities of women's lives around the world, and setting global standards for gender equality and the empowerment of women. The Commission on the Status of Women is essential in eliminating the stereotypes and discrimination that limit the development opportunities of women and girls.
