On 11/6/2023, the CIIE Exhibitors’ Alliance Conference was successfully held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). More than 60 enterprises and institutions signed up on site for the Seventh CIIE, and the UN NGO P.R.I.D.E. (Pacific Rim Institute for Development and Education) Secretary-General Zhao Yuanhong attended the Sixth CIIE Exhibitors’ Alliance Conference and signed up for the Seventh CIIE.
Sheng Qiuping, Vice Minister of Commerce, delivered a video address.
The conference announced the list of members of the 2024 Exhibitors’ Alliance Council, including 42 Fortune Global 500 companies and industry leaders. More than 60 enterprises and institutions collectively signed up for the Seventh CIIE, with an exhibition area of over 40,000 square meters.
Sun Chenghai, Deputy Director of the China International Import Expo Bureau and Secretary-General of the Exhibitors’ Alliance, reported on the work of the Alliance and its special committees in 2023. Barbara Lavernos, the rotating chair of the Alliance, President of North Asia and CEO of China at L’Oréal, and Zhao Rong, strategic cooperation partner of the CIIE and General Manager of Business Management of Bank of China, the executing unit of the Alliance secretariat, attended and spoke. Liu Fuxue, Deputy Director of the China International Import Expo Bureau, presided over the event. About 300 people attended, including Ning Feng, President of the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), Zhang Weimin, Assistant President, officials of relevant departments of the Ministry of Commerce, as well as Alliance members, Hongqiao Forum members and media representatives.
Mr. Zhao Yuanhong said that this year’s CIIE was a great success, and that next year they would make preparations early and bring in more scarce products to exhibit, in order to enliven and enrich the diversification of the market and benefit the people.
